He who lies with wolves.... |

Hee-heee!
Lookitdat,Epic got so thick with Microsoft and their platform and things and look what is happening now:
http://www.ggmania.com/?smsid=25169
In brief carnage started already regarding Epic's user generated(free content),especially when it gets siphoned towards the "competition" console.
So the big Microsoft-Borg zeroes in for the final stages of forced assimilation of the little insignificant Epic-peon who thought that it could roar or even soar...
What fools, their "free-ride" is over and now they gotta pay the pimp his dues and laughter will ensue I'm sure.

My crystal ball sez that either they will be stifled, then lawsued then absorbed by MS and spat out like a cherry pit,or get bought by some more savvy people like EA for example.
All the while the Cliffster idiot is dreaming about movie rights to a Gears of War Hollywood greatness (yes that's right he is negociating movie rights with some other airheads)

Epic=anti PC-Games crusade |

And now Sweeney another Epic's high faluting talking head puts some more nails on the PC's coffin...
http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=167808
Briefly his edict is that pc-game developers design for high end pcs only and that dooms pc-games to fewer machines.
Isn't that trend exactly what UT started back in 1998?
Additionally isn't the same developers that were complaining that low end pcs with various lame configurations made their programming difficult with game compatibility issues?
Similarly to crack, console developing revenues really alter people's minds,in more ways than just make them stupid,it makes them stupider.....
Pass the sontroller and the nachos man.
lol
ps
I'm no fool and I do not think that my musings will alter a trend,I'm just calling it as it is......

PC Gaming is going away |
|
|
As far as Epic is concerned anyway.....
Related to our last news story CliffyB of Epic had this to say in a recent interview.
So for me, the PC is kind of the secondary part of what we’re doing. It’s important for us, but right now making AAA games on consoles is where we’re at.”
So now we know where we stand....

Man sees 'mark,' cuts off hand
HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) -- A man who believed he bore the biblical "mark of the beast" used a circular saw to cut off one hand, then he cooked it in the microwave and called 911, authorities said.
The man, in his mid-20s, was calm when Kootenai County sheriff's deputies arrived Saturday. He was in protective custody in the mental health unit of Kootenai Medical Center.
"It had been somewhat cooked by the time the deputy arrived," sheriff's Capt. Ben Wolfinger said. "He put a tourniquet on his arm before, so he didn't bleed to death. That kind of mental illness is just sad."
It was not immediately clear whether the man has a history of mental illness. Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Johnson would not say whether an attempt was made to reattach the hand, citing patient confidentiality.
The Book of Revelation in the New Testament contains a passage in which an angel is quoted as saying: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink the wine of God's fury."
The book of Matthew also contains the passage: "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for you whole body to do into hell."
Wolfinger said he didn't know which hand was amputated.

RIAA spells it's own Doom |

And Death to all....
According to RIAA even if you OWN the music/show in CDs if you dare to download it on your PC you are a criminal...
It is a desperate move of a dying industry similar to a snake's mutilated body writhing after the head has been cut off...
None of this nonsense will stop students from d/loading legally or illegally stuff.
None of these laws will put life back on an organisation that missed the boat and tries to sauveguard rights for greedy-cats.
I'm not condoning illegal downloading,I'm commenting on very stupid scare tactics and silly unenforceable legislation.
It is a matter of time before all this becomes irrelevent.
